Present “An Overview of Functional Vision in the Classroom & Interventions for the School Environment”
When: Friday, May 16, 2008 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. (registration and coffee at 8:30 am) Where: SERESC 29 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH 03110 Presenters: “Dr. Amy” Pruszenski, Developmental Optometrist “Dr. Amy” is the founder and president of Harbor Eyecare Center, a private optometric practice in Portsmouth, NH. She & her associates concentrate on creative solutions for patients’ vision lifestyle needs, including vision therapy to help resolve learning-related vision issues and vision issues related to brain injury. Donna DiBello, COTA Ms. DiBello is a COTA working in public schools with children age 3-21 as an integral part of educational teams. As a related service for Special Education, she provides Vision Therapy including integration of therapy into the school curriculum. Outcomes: At the completion of the workshop, participants will increase their knowledge in: Vision & Learning Visual Efficiency Issues Visual Perceptual Issues and Vision Processing Education Interventions for vision issues affecting learning Referral criteria for Functional Vision Evaluations
This workshop is offered at NO COST due to the support of the Perkins Training Center grant from the Readers Digest Partners for Sight Foundation & the New Hampshire Professional Development Center for Vision Education
